Bastia Poretta AIRPORT, partner of HOP ! Biodiversity!
The HOP society ! Biodiversity aims to assess and enhance the biodiversity of airports, to identify good practices and to connect all airport workers so as to promote a more natural and biodiversity-friendly management of the area, whilst taking into account operational constraints, notably those linked to air security.
Since 2016 Bastia-Poretta airport has been actively involved in this approach. The protocols of participatory sciences have been regularly followed since the airport’s assistance. The HOP ! Biodiversity teams have brought their expertise during 5 annual visits, accompanied by volunteers who work on the platform. The exhibition was inaugurated at the airport lounges on the 23rd March 2018 and presented the outcomes of this collaboration.
